How To Get Sims On Macbook Air

Hello!

I was wondering if my Macbook Air would be able to run TS3 properly? I'm probably going to purchase through Origin and get the bundle that comes with the base game, late night and high end loft stuff and I'm getting another bundle that comes with generations and world adventures. I just wanted to check first if my laptop can handle it.

I have the 13 inch Macbook Air and I have NEVER played the Sims on my Macbook before or my other laptop. I need to understand how this Origin thing works because I know that it says you need that to play The Sims. The point is that my Macbook does not have a disk drive to put the disk in. I was also wondering if my MacBook air will run the sims 3 properly. I have an external disc drive and have installed the base game, seasons and pets. For some reason, when I open the launcher and hit 'play', it just opens a plumbob loading screen but never launches. I am up to date on software updates. This is what my mac has. Macbook case-protector- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product. I'm downloading sims 4 on my MacBook Air 2017 So it says that the file is 24.4GB big but my Mac already downloaded the 26.2GB file and it says that it is still downloading and not seeding. Can anyone help.
